THE POSSIBILITIES OF THE CLASSICS
When we consider art, music, literature, or almost any human endeavor, early pioneers and achievers are often remembered for their work throughout history. We teach our children what we learned from and about historically significant leaders. The foundation of liberal arts education is rich with studies about people who made a difference.
For the next several weeks, we will review some of the work of significant Christian preachers. I am most intrigued to understand how Christian pioneers viewed future generations. I have studied many of their sermons and have selected messages that remain powerful for a 2010 audience.
We look back at our Christian forefathers for the purpose of communicating proper messages to our future generations. The possibilities of the future have roots from our past. Don’t miss a single week of this series!
